Fontana Library

  • Provided $1.3 million to support construction of the Lewis Library and Technology Center
  • Travelled to Sacramento to urge State to provide bond funding for Fontana library project

    • $1.9-million project improved Arrow Route between Hemlock and Beech
  • Traffic Signals on Valley Boulevard – 2008
    • Installed signals and Redwood and Live Oak to improve traffic safety
  • Widened Slover Avenue over railroad tracks – $571,000
  • San Bernardino Avenue – 2010
    • Improving from Commerce Drive to Cherry Avenue
      • New landscaped medians
      • New sidewalks
      • Improved railroad crossing
  • Valley Boulevard – 2006
    • Improved Valley from Banana to Mulberry avenues
  • Redwood Avenue – 2008
    • Repaved between Foothill and Valley Boulevards
    • Cost – $961,000

Almeria Bus Shelter

  • Constructed bus shelter on Almeria Avenue
  • Shelter is near vocational rehab center – Industrial Support Systems – for disabled adults

Senior Lunch

  • Provided regular funding to Old Timers Foundation
  • Foundation provided regular senior lunches in Fontana
  • Also provides delivered meals for homebound seniors

Fontana Boys and Girls Club

  • Provided funding to support Boys and Girls Club after school activities

Rails to Trails

  • Provided $300,000 to support City’s rails to trails program
